We can divide the robot market into three main price levels.
Hobby and educational robots

What I get for it: Small, desktop robotic arms. They are great for schools, clubs, DIY or for first introduction to programming. They have a very low payload (typically under 0.5 kg) and are made of lighter materials.

- Robotic palletizing (palletizing robot)
- Precise assembly and screwing (assembly robot)
- Automated welding (welding robot)

Now the most important thing. The prices in categories 2 and 3 are just for the bare robot arm. It's like buying an engine without a car. In order for the robot to work, you need to add two more items to the price of the arm:
